Today, our schools briefly implemented a Secure & Teach protocol out of an abundance of caution in response to a reported possible threat in the vicinity of KMS.

Law enforcement responded immediately and quickly determined there was no ongoing threat. The situation was resolved within a short period of time, and all schools have returned to normal operations.

At all times, students and staff remained safe, and the precautionary measures allowed us to respond quickly and appropriately.

We appreciate the rapid response of local law enforcement and the cooperation of our staff and students.
